On March 29, 1998 the New Jersey Star Ledger did a front page story on Union City Corruption. The article was titled: Union City Cops who pay up get better careers.  Then candidate Brian Stack stated: “politics has played a big role in the police department. There are police officers who go and sell tickets, sometimes to other police officers. They’re told to walk, they’re told to get involved they’re told to go out and be out there on election day.” Stack was 1000% correct. However, actions speak louder then words and once Stack was elected he reversed course and not only continued what he publicly disagreed with, he forced cops to do more and give more.
